Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/18/14

12/18 is the day of Water Pig in the month of Wood Pig. This is a partially discordant combination. It favors those who are talented, competitive, and interested in money.
Water Pig is a Knife Blade combination. The knife blade appears in both the day and month, giving a sharp edge of reactiveness and intolerance.
Pig is the Traveling star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to travel, move, rearrange your home or work space, and take positive steps forward in your career.
12/18, 12/19, and 12/20 are not good days for people born in a year of Tiger, Horse, or Dog to attend important meetings and events. Take advantage of any good opportunity that comes your way, but watch out for anyone trying to take unfair advantage of you or robbing you. Wear something green to ward of shar (bad luck).
If you were born in a year of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day to take courage, look into the future, and make plans, but a bad day to get into an argument or legal battle.
Pig gets along well with Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; Neutrally with Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and poorly with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 48, line 5.

Hexagram 48 is Jing, the Well. The town can be changed, but not the well. It is constant. People can come and go to draw from it. If you get down almost to the water and rope isn't long enough, or the jug breaks - misfortune.

Line 5 encourages helping others and receiving help from others. The zodiac sign of line five, Dog, is in harmony with the signs of changing lines 3 and 6, and neutral with the sign of the day and month. The Water of Water Pig day puts a snake in line 5. Don't overlook the possibility of something hidden. Don't give or receive with ulterior motives.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Water. A river flows through the woods. Help is available if you need it.

12/17 is the day of Water Dog in the month of Wood Pig. This is a harmonious combination. It favors those who are independent and entrepreneurial, and who use their talents to make money. The combination of Water Dog and Wood Pig promotes money.

The combination of Dog and Pig brings out Heaven Medicine Star and Robbing Star. Heaven Medicine Star encourages you to take care of your health. If you are ill, be careful. If you have questions or doubts about where you are going, or what you are doing in your life, this us a good day to consult an oracle.
Robbing Star encourages you to keep your eyes open for good opportunities, but warns against theft and being taken unfair advantage of.
Dog is the Star of Arts for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these, this is a good day for thinking and working creatively.

Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/5/14

12/5 is the day of Metal Dog in the month of Wood Pig. This is a harmonious combination that favors those who are independent and who work hard, using their talents, to make money. Metal Dog is the strongest sign for good or evil in the zodiac. It is a Peach Blossom Star. Peach Blossom Star is attractive, even glamorous; it encourages social activity. Metal Dog is highly intelligent and perceptive, and becomes adept at whatever it concentrates on. It is commanding, capable, highly motivated, and intent on becoming successful and gaining recognition. It can also make trouble in personal relationships and can cause the person whose sign it is to become isolated. It favors solitude and individualism.
Dog is the Star of Arts for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good time to pursue creative, or artistic goals.
Dog day in month of Pig is Heaven Medicine Star. If you are strong and healthy this is a good sign. But, if you are weak and prone to illness, this is not a good sign. It advises you to take care of your health. Heaven Medicine Star also makes this a good day for examining your future options through divination and astrology.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rat, or Ox, this is a good day to enjoy solitude and work alone.
Dog gets along harmoniously with Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, Monkey, and sometimes Rooster; neutrally with Rat, Pig, and Snake; and discordantly with Dragon, Ox, Sheep, and sometimes Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 53, line 3.

Hexagram 53 is Jian, or Gradual Development. The accumulation of small things makes something large. The maiden is offered in marriage. Good fortune. It furthers to persevere. This hexagram is bad in winter.

Line 3 says not to lose faith even in times of difficulty. The zodiac sign of line 3, Monkey, is in partial harmony with the signs of changing lines 2 and 4, in harmony with the sign of the day, and in discord with the sign of the month. The Metal of Metal Dog day puts a dragon in line 3. Where you see a challenge, deal with it. Be industrious.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Earth, and Wood. Much earth bears up trees. Build up.

12/4 is the day of Earth Rooster in the month of Wood Pig. This is a partially discordant combination. It is resourceful, gives vitality, encourages inventiveness, and favors those who work hard and make money. Earth Rooster favors people who are smart. It is an Academic Nobleman Star. It thirsts for knowledge, and uses its talents and wit to change problematic situations to its advantage.
Rooster is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
Rooster is Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these, this is a good day for you to take charge and move forward with your career.
Rooster gets along harmoniously with Ox, Snake, Monkey, Dragon, and sometimes Dog; neutrally with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; and discordantly with Rooster, Rabbit, and sometimes Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 31, line 3.

Hexagram 31 is Xian, or Influence. Lake above, Mountain below. Sincerity wins favor of heaven. Influence is successful. Persevere. It is good to find a worthwhile goal.

Line 3 advises to be independent, and cautions against following someone else. The zodiac signs of line 3, Monkey and Ox, get along together, are in partial discord with the signs of changing lines 1,2, and 6, are in harmony with the sign for the day, and are in partial harmony with the sign for the month. The Earth of Earth Rooster day puts a tortoise in line 3. It advises keeping a secret, not exposing yourself to theft, and moving cautiously forward.

The elements of this hexagram are Metal, Earth, and Metal. The generating forces are strong. Powerful spirits are guiding. All in all, it says, trust your inner guidance.

Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/3/14

12/3 is the day of Earth Monkey in the month of Wood Pig. This is a discordant combination. It favors independent, resourceful people in speculative professions, people willing to take risks. Earth Monkey is an Academic Nobleman Star. It is highly intelligent, enjoys great achievements in intellectual pursuits, and is able to turn adverse conditions to advantage. It, on the other hand, can cause trouble in relationships, especially in marriage and with in-laws, and can signal misfortune for the spouse of people born in the year or day of Snake, Horse, or Sheep. This is a day for people born in a year or day of Snake, Horse, or Sheep to enjoy solitude.
Monkey is the Traveling Star for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day for traveling, rearranging your home or workplace, and for taking a positive step forward in your career.
12/3, 4, and 5 are not auspicious days for people born in years of Rabbit, Sheep, or Pig to attend important meetings or public events. If you do, wear something black to mitigate shar (negative influences). Do not let others take unfair advantage of you, and guard against theft.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day for looking into the future and making plans, but a bad day to get into a fight. Do not litigate now.
Monkey gets along harmoniously with Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; neutrally with Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and discordantly with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 2, line 2.

Hexagram 3 is Tun, or Difficulty in the Beginning. Thunder in Water. All begins to germinate. It ultimately leads to success. Do not act too soon. If needed, get help. Tun denotes difficulties.

Line 2 says that difficulties accumulate. Horse and wagon come apart. The man is not a robber; he will woo at the right time. The lady is virtuous and does not agree to marry. After ten years she agrees. If there are difficulties, wait for conditions to change. The zodiac sign for line 2, Tiger, is in partial harmony/discord with the signs of changing lines 4 and 5, in sharp discord with the sign for the day, and in strong harmony with the sign for the month. The Earth of Earth Monkey day puts a snake in line 2. There are hidden dangers. Be careful. After some trouble the way opens.

The elements of this hexagram are Water, Wood, and Water. Water generates Wood from all sides. Draw on your resources for success.

12/2 is the day of Fire Sheep in the month of Wood Pig. Fire Sheep is a Peach Blossom Star. It is glamorous and encourages social interaction. Fire Sheep is highly intelligent, works hard to resolve problems, and is generous to a fault for which reason it can cause trouble in relationships. Don't try too hard. The combination of Fire Sheep and Wood Pig favors people who are industrious, resourceful, and focused on money.
For people born in a year or day of Rabbit, Sheep, or Pig, this is a good day for creative, artistic work.
Sheep gets along harmoniously with Sheep, Pig, Rabbit, Horse, Snake, and sometimes Rat; neutrally with Monkey, Rooster, Tiger, and Dragon; and discordantly with Dog, Ox, and sometimes Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day is number 26, line 2.
