Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/2/15


2/2 is the day of Earth Rooster in the month of Fire Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It favors independent expression of creative talent. Earth Rooster has the ability to take advantage of difficult situations.
Rooster is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for romance.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox this is a favorable time to actively pursue your career aim.
Rooster favors people born in years, months, days, or hours of Ox, Snake, Dragon, Monkey, and sometimes Dog; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; and unfavorable toward Rooster, Rabbit, and sometimes Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 48, line 5.

Hexagram 48 is Jing, The Well. The town can be changed, but not the well. It is constant, neither increasing nor decreasing. People come to draw from it. If you get almost to the water but your rope is too short, or the jug breaks, you have bad luck. This hexagram is strong in winter.

Line 5 encourages you to refresh yourself. The zodiac signs of line 5, Dog and Pig are neutral together, are strongly supported by the signs of changing lines 1 and 3, and are in partial harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Earth of Earth Rooster day puts a raven in line 5. Choose carefully. Avoid useless quarreling.
