Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/8/16

8/8 is the day of Water Dog in the month of Fire Monkey. This is a clash combination. It favors secret (occult) investigation and research, and speculation.
This day is designated as inauspicious and full. It can be full of trouble if you are not careful. It harbors the red phoenix that warns of danger in legal matters, hassles, arguments, malicious gossip, and, if your health is bad, it can worsen. The day is bad for everything major.
A full day, in this context, is best to avoid anything large scale.
The lunar mansion this day is Xin, the Heart. It is a negative star. It's ok for travel, harvesting, and cashing in, but warns not to start a lawsuit, as disputes will escalate. It is also bad for burials because heirs will fight.
Dog, the sign of this day, is the Star of Art for Tiger, Horse, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for creative work.
Dog favors Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Dragon, Ox; and Sheep; and is ambivalent with Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 47, line 1.

Hexagram 47 is Kun, Oppression. Success in perseverance. The great person brings luck. When you have something to say, no one listens. No blame.

Line 1 advises not to be discouraged. The zodiac sign of line 1, Tiger, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. Tiger partly clashes with the signs of changing lines, 2 and 5, is in harmony with the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. Vacillation and hesitation. Go forward. The Water of Water Dog day puts a tortoise in line 1. Don't tell others your business. Don't let others use you unfairly or steal from you.
