Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 3/2/17

3/2 is the day of Earth Rat in the month of Water Rabbit. This is a harmonious combination. It favors civil service, management and legislative fields.
This day is designated as auspicious and open. If your self-element (as found in Bazi, or Chinese astrology) is Water or Earth, you will benefit the most. If used well, you will enjoy an influx of wealth within 60 to 120 days, as well as the assistance of noble people especially in time of need.
An open day is good for opening your home and welcoming in guests. It is also good for official openings.
The lunar mansion is Kui, Astride. Not too good for business, but very good for traveling and renovations; it brings positive outcomes.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day for love.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day to make progress at work.
Rat, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 42, line 3.

Hexagram 42 is Yi, Increase. It furthers to do something. It is time to cross the great water.

Line 3 you are benefited by unfortunate events. No blame if you are sincere and walk in the middle, and report to the prince with a letter and seal. The zodiac sign for line 3 is Dragon. By the element of the season, Dragon is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Dragon signifies money. Dragon is in relations with the signs of changing lines, 5 and 6, is in harmony with the sign of the day and ambivalent with the sign of the month. The Earth of Earth Rat day puts a tiger in line 3. Act in perfect faith.
