Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/7/18

8/7 is the day of Metal Sheep in the lunar month of Earth Sheep. This is the first day of the 7th solar month, the beginning of Autumn, in the Chinese calendar. The two fortnight periods are Li Qiu, the coming of Autumn, and Chu Shu, heat ends. The three shars, (killing forces) are now in the southeast, south, and southwest. Do not dig or otherwise disturb the ground in these areas, lest the harmful energies of the Shars are released. This day is considered dangerous for small children. The ghosts of the dead come out.
This day is designated as auspicious and close. Only use this day for small scale activities.
A close day is bad for any activity of great personal or business significance.
The lunar mansion is Wei, Tail. This is good for fengshui.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this day is good for creative work.
Sheep, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Sheep, Pig, Rabbit, Snake, and Horse; neutral with Monkey, Rooster, Tiger, and Dragon; clashes with Dog, and Ox; and is ambivalent with Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 13, line 3.

Hexagram 13 is TongRen, Fellowship. It is advantageous to cross the great water. The superior man benefits from maintaining firm correctness.

Line 3 If there is mistrust, reclarify your aims. The zodiac sign of line 3 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Pig signifies power. Pig is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, and with the sign of the day and month. The sequence of elements says meditate. The Metal of Metal Sheep day puts a dragon in line 3. Excellent for meditation.
