Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/6/17
2/6 is the day of Wood Rat in the month of Water Tiger. This is a harmonious combination. It favors independence.
This day is designated as inauspicious and open. It is a 5 element yin negative day, not at all good to begin any major activity.
An open day is good for opening your office or home and welcoming in guests. It is good for returning to work after Chinese new year.
The lunar mansion is Liu, Willow. It is generally not good for any important activity.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day for romance.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day to take charge and make progress at work.
Rat, the sign of the day, is harmonious with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 8, line 3.
Hexagram 8 is Bi, Uniting. Good fortune. Ask of the oracle if you have high standards and persistence. If so, everything is good. Those who are uncertain gradually join up. Those who come too late lose.
Line 3 You may be attracting the wrong people, or obstacles. If so, look to yourself for the causes. The zodiac sign for line 3 is Rabbit. By the element of the season, Rabbit is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Rabbit signifies power. Rabbit is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, clashes with the sign of the day, and is in harmony with the sign for the month. Water gives life to much potential growth. The Wood of Wood Rat puts a worm in line 3. There are hindrances that you may have to deal with.
