Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/10/17
9/10 is the day of Metal Rat in the month of Earth Monkey. This is a harmonious combination. It favors independence.
This day is designated as auspicious and stable. It is good for all major activities, such as renovation, opening a business, moving house, proposing marriage, traveling, etc.
A stable day is good for starting something that will last a long time, for example marriage.
The lunar mansion is Xu, Void. This is not a good asterism. It warns of illness. It is simply negative.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day for romance.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for taking command and moving forward in your career.
Rat, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit, and Horse; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 38. line 4.
Hexagram 38 is Kui, Opposition. When you lose your horses do not run after them. They will return of their own accord. Remain free of blame in relations with evil persons.
Line 4 Choose cooperative companions. The zodiac sign of line 4 is Rooster. By the element of the season, Rooster is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Rooster signifies creative or business interests. Rooster is neutral with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 2, neutral with the sign of the day, and in harmony with the sign of the month. The sequence of elements suggests quick success. The Metal of Metal Rat day puts a raven in line 4. Raven suggests a potential fight. Avoid quarreling.
