Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/9/14

10/9 is the day of Water Ox in the day of Wood Dog. Water Ox favors education. It is industrious, and encourages the development of plans and projects. The combination of Water Ox with Wood Dog is partly harmonious. It calls for extra effort, and favors creativity and hard work.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is an especially good day for you if you are involved in creative, inventive, or artistic work.
Ox is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, Dragon, Monkey, and Pig, and in discord with Horse, Sheep, Dog, Tiger, and Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 22, line 1.

Hexagram 22 is Grace. Step by step it gets better and better. It is good to do something. Pay attention to small things. Simplicity is the height of grace. This hexagram is good in fall.

Line 1 advises doing whatever is necessary. It favors self-cultivation. The zodiac sign of line 1, Rabbit, is in partial harmony with the signs of changing line 3, in discord with the sign for the day, Ox, and in strong harmony with the sign for the month, Dog. The Water of Water Ox puts a tortoise in line 1 advising privacy. If you discreetly tend to your own business, and patiently deal with whatever difficulties there are, while guarding against theft of any sort, your efforts will be successful.

The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Fire, and Earth. Treasures are revealed.

Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/2/14

9/2 is the day of Fire Rat in the month of Water Rooster. It is a fairly discordant combination advising us to be forthright. It also brings out the deity of Conventional Wealth. Conventional Wealth deity favors being down to earth, thrifty, and diligent. He favors people who work in areas of finance, management, entrepreneurship, investment, banking, and trading. Rat is harmonious with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Ox, Pig, Rooster, and Tiger. Rat is discordant with Rabbit, Sheep, Horse, Snake, and Dog. Notwithstanding its discord with Rabbit and Sheep, Rat signals romance for Rabbit, Sheep, also Pig. And Rat empowers Rat, Dragon, and Monkey. The hexagram for the day, according to the King Wen method, is number 57, line 6.

Hexagram 57 is Wind, or The Gentle. Grass bends to the wind. It symbolizes yielding to superior force, on the one hand, and the issuing of commands on the other. The force of wind can remove obstacles.

Line 6 advises to be decisive and not waste time worrying about all the things that might go wrong. The zodiac sign of  line 6, Rabbit, only partially supported by the signs of changing lines, 1, 2, and 5, clashes with Rat and Rooster, the signs of the day and month. Be sure of your intentions, and willing to stand up and act. The Fire of Fire Rat puts a dragon in line 6. This is strongly favorable. Bold action pays off. If you are a woman, someone may approach you with romantic intentions.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Wood. It is extremely good. Help comes from many directions.
