Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/9/17

7/9 is the day of Fire Rooster in the month of Fire Sheep. This is a harmonious combination. It makes it possible to turn problems around and resolve them, and it favors creativity and the arts.
This day is designated as inauspicious and full. It harbors hidden problems. Avoid all major activities today. This day appears to be full of contradictions.
A full day means a day of plenty. It would be good to be generous.
The lunar mansion is Kang, Neck. This is an unfortunate asterism. It points to losses of wealth.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for romance.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day to make progress in your work.
Rooster, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Monkey, Dragon; neutral with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rabbit and Rooster; and is ambivalent with Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 21, line 5.

Hexagram 21 is Heshi, Biting Through. The time is favorable for the enforcement of justice.

Line 5 To exercise leniency is best. The zodiac signs for line 5 are Sheep and Monkey. By the element of the season Sheep is strong, Monkey is weak. By the element of the hexagram Sheep signifies money, Monkey signifies power. Sheep and Monkey are in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The sequence of elements suggests gold in the earth, and profits lying ahead. The Fire of Fire Rooster day puts a tortoise in line 5. The tortoise means to keep private.
