Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/17/15

6/17 is the day of Wood Rat in the month of Water Horse. This is a partly harmonious, socially active combination. It favors those who are resourceful, generous, and creative. It can also act seductively.
Rat is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for love.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, and Dragon, this is a good day to move forward in your career.
Rat generally favors Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; is neutral toward Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse; and is either good or bad with Sheep depending on circumstances. Sheep and Rat are mutually attractive.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 37, line 2.

Hexagram 37 is Jiaren, the Family. The perseverance of a woman brings success.

Line 2 advises faithfully attending to responsibilities, and staying within proscribed boundaries. The zodiac sign for line 2, Ox, is in harmony with the signs of changing line,1, and with the sign of the day, but clashes with the sign of the month. The Wood of Wood Rat day puts a raven in line 2. If you cut across boundaries there could be a quarrel. Show generosity and care within reason.

The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Fire, and Wood. Wood produces fire. It favors loving relationships and good business sense.
