Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/1/15

9/1 is the day of Metal Dragon in the month of Wood Monkey. This is a challenging, tricky combination that can precipitate unexpected changes and reversals. Its nature is ambitious, motivated and independent, and it aims at getting money, but, because Monkey is empty, it can lose money too.
Dragon is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day for creative work.
Dragon generally favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is either good or bad with Rabbit depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 36, line 4.

Hexagram 36 is Mingyi, Darkening of the Light. To persevere despite difficulties is favorable.

Line 4, says that when you get to the heart of the matter and understand the problem you are free to move on. The zodiac signs of line 4, Ox and Horse, clash with one another. Ox is strong by the season and hexagram, and Horse is weak. But, because Horse clashes with Ox, it harms Ox. Ox represents what supports you. This means what supports you is being threatened to some extent. Pay attention to family, home, food, health, education, and the like. If you are involved in a creative project, pay attention to research. Ox is in harmony with the sign of the day and with the sign of the month, but, because the sign of the month is empty, you can be frustrated. The Metal of Metal Dragon day puts a raven in line 4. Avoid worrying and arguing.

The elements of this hexagram are  Water, Fire, and Earth. Wait for trouble to pass, and then act.
