Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/2/15

9/2 is the day of Metal Snake in the month of Wood Monkey. This is a discordant combination. It favors competitiveness, and warns of impatience and aggression.
Snake is the Traveling Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a busy day, good for moving forward in your career, rearranging your home or work place, and traveling.
Snake generally favors Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; is neutral toward Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 18, line 3.

Hexagram 18 is Gu, Decay. Great success is possible. It is time to cross the great water. Before you start, three days. After you start, three days. This hexagram is difficult in fall.

Line 3 Correcting mistakes of the father, some regret, no great blame. This means do not be overzealous in correcting mistakes from the past. The zodiac sign of line 3, Ox, is empty. It's power is hidden. Be patient. Ox is otherwise strong by the season, but weak by the hexagram. Rooster represents your power, status, responsibilities, pressures and demands made on you, and worries. Because Rooster is empty, these will become manifest after a few days, depending on what you are doing now. Rooster is generally in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1 and 2, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. This is good. The Metal of Metal Snake day puts a dragon in line 3. This is auspicious. Stand up to your challenges and be proactive.
