Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/9/15
11/9 is the day of Earth Ox in the month of Fire Dog. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors independent entrepreneurs and those whose work is competitive.
Ox is the Star of Arts for Snake, Rooster, and Dog. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs it works for you especially if you are engaged in philosophical studies, metaphysics, literature, music, or art. The Star of Arts is not particularly social.
Ox generally favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 41, line 3.
Hexagram 41 is Sun, Decrease. It brings the highest good when you are sincere. Perseverance is favorable. Use two small bowls for the sacrifice. This means restrain your desires and anger.
Line 3 When three travel together one leaves; when one travels alone he finds a friend. Gains are greater than losses. The zodiac sign for line 3, Ox, is strong by the season, and, by the element signifies those who gather around you: your friends and acquaintances. Ox is in harmony with the sign of the day, but clashes with the sign of the month. Friendliness goes just so far. Fences make good neighbors. The Earth of Earth Ox day puts a tortoise in line 3. Keep secrets.
