Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/4/16
7/4 begins the 6th lunar month, the month of Wood Sheep. This is a highly intelligent, creative sign, but does not support, and can cause problems for personal relationships. From this point, and through the days following 7/7, the beginning of the next solar period called Xiao Shu, or Lesser Heat, it is considered bad luck to dig in, or disturb the ground, or to do construction. or penetrate any wall in the western quarter of your land, place of business, or home, as that is the area of Shar, or killing Qi.
7/4 is the day of Fire Pig in the month of Wood Sheep. This is a harmonious combination. It strongly favors creative work.
This day is designated as inauspicious and an 'establish' day.
The day being inauspicious is unsuitable for any major activity, but ok for everything else.
Establish day is traditionally considered good for praying for prosperity. The day is good for visiting friends. This means it is good for business talks and negotiating possible deals. It is also good for seeking medical treatment, and for making travel plans.
The day is bad for demolitions, or ground breaking in general. It is also bad for funerals or burials.
This day is in the lunar mansion called Zhang, or Bow. It is good for all commercial and personal activities.
Pig, the sign of this day, is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to rearrange your home, make progress in your work, and travel.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 45, line 2.
Hexagram 45 is Cai, Gathering. Success. The king approaches his temple. Time to see influential people, persevere, and make great offerings.
Line 2 Letting yourself be drawn is lucky. No blame. If you are sincere, it is good to make even a small offering. The zodiac sign of line 2, Snake, is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies money. Snake is in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 5 and 6, clashes with the sign of the day, and is in harmony with the sign of the month. Act but do not oppose. The Fire of Fire Pig day puts a worm in line 2. Adapt to get around an obstacle.
