Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/8/16
10/8 is the day of Water Pig in the month of Earth Dog. This is a harmonious combination. It favors legal and legislative fields.
This day is designated as dire and removal. Its overly yin quality prevents this day from being useful. It is also the beginning of the solar period of Cold Dew. Do not renovate now, or dig or disturb the ground to the north.
A remove day was traditionally used to pray for good harvests.
The lunar mansion is Nu, the Weaving Maiden; good for academic and Literary pursuits.
Pig, the sign of this day, is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for rearranging your home or work place, making progress in your career, and traveling.
Pig is harmonious with Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, and Sheep; neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Sheep, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 38, line 4.
Hexagram 38 is Kui, Opposition. You can have good luck in small matters.
Line 4 Choose cooperative companions. The zodiac signs for line 4, Rooster and Sheep are neutral toward one another. By the element of the season, they are strong. By the element of the hexagram, they represent creative productivity. Rooster and Sheep for the most part are in harmony with the signs of changing lines 3 and 5, and are in harmony with the sign of the day, but clash with the sign of the month. Everything is topsy turvy. The Water of Water Pig puts a worm in line 4. There are obstacles.
