Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/17/17
4/17 is the day of Wood Dog in the month of Wood Dragon. This is a clashing combination that can cause sudden changes; Dog is in opposition to Dragon. Win or lose, the combination favors speculation.
This day is designated as inauspicious and destructive. Because of the clash between Dog and Dragon, it is bad to undertake any important projects today.
A destruction day is good for demolitions and surgical removals.
The lunar mansion is Xin, the Heart. It is an unfortunate asterism, limited to travel.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day for creative work.
Dog, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; neutral with Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is ambivalent with Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 25, line 4.
Hexagram 25 is Wuwang, Circumspection. Supreme success. Righteous persistence furthers. If someone is not as he should be, misfortune, and it is not advantageous for him to undertake anything.
Line 4 Your sincerity is being tested. Do only that with is right and just. The zodiac sign for line 4 is Horse. By the element of the season, Horse is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Horse signifies creative and business interests. Horse is in harmony with the sign of the day and is neutral with the sign of the month. Harmonize with the times. The Wood of Wood Dog day puts a snake in line 4. Pay attention to small details.
