Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/4/17
4/4 is the day of Metal Rooster in the month of Wood Dragon. This is beginning of the third solar month, Qing Ming, Clear and Bright, corresponding to 15 degrees Aries. This is a clashing combination. It favors helping others.
This day is designated as inauspicious and initiating. It is not good for initiating large scale projects such as renovations, moving house, and opening a new business.
An initiate day is good for starting projects if they are small scale.
The lunar mansion is Zui, Beak. This is an unfavorable star for everything.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this a good day for romantic affairs.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this day is good for taking command and carrying your work forward.
Rooster, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Monkey, and Dragon; neutral with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit, and is ambivalent with Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 43, line 5.
Hexagram 43 is Kui, Resoluteness. One must make the matter known in court. One mush also announce it in one's own city to avert an uprising. Advancing is advantageous.
Line 5 In eliminating the undesirable. firm action is necessary. Following the middle way leads to no blame. The zodiac signs for line 5 are Rooster and Monkey. By the element of the season, both are weak. By the element of the hexagram, they represent creative, or business projects. Rooster and Monkey are harmonious with the signs of the day and month. Time to act. The Metal of Metal Rooster day puts a worm in line 5. Clear away obstacles.
