Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/30/17
5/30 is the day of Fire Snake in the lunar month of Fire Horse. Today is the 5th day of the 5th month: the day of the dragon boat festival in China. This is a very dynamic combination. It favors independence.
This day is designated as inauspicious and establishing. Unsuitable for starting any major activity, it is bad for travel, marriage, starting renovation, moving house, opening a business, etc.
An establish day is good for visiting with friends, especially to discuss plans.
The lunar mansion is Zui, the Beak. This is a negative asterism.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this may be a busy day, good for making progress in your work.
Snake, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Snake, Rooster, Ox, Horse, and Sheep; neutral with Dog, Rat, Rabbit, and Dragon; and clashes with Monkey, Pig, and Tiger.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 45, line 2.
Hexagram 45 is Cai, Gathering. Success. The king approaches his temple. Advantageous to see the superior man; then there will be success. Great sacrifices generate good fortune. It is advantageous to strive for a goal.
Line 2 Letting oneself be drawn brings good fortune. No error. With sincerity, even small offerings are acceptable. The zodiac sign of line 2 is Snake. By the element of the season, Snake is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Snake signifies power. Snake is partly in harmony, partly clashes with the signs of changing line, 5, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. Triple Fire. Projection of cosmic energy. The Fire of Fire Snake day puts an earthworm in line 2. This is a good time to uproot and get rid of an obstacle in your life.
