Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/23/17
7/23 is the day of Metal Pig in the month of Fire Sheep. It is the beginning of the season change which culminates on August 8 with the beginning of autumn. This, being the new moon, is when Earth is at its fullness. It is therefore ruled by Earth. The combination today clashes. It favors metaphysical research, astrology, and divination.
This day is designated as inauspicious and stable. Overly yin in polarity, it posses no Qi. Avoid this day for major activities.
A stable day, normally good for initiating long lasting activities, here warns not to.
The lunar mansion is Can, Orion. It is good for all fengshui activities.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this day is good for cleaning up your place, putting it in order.
Pig, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Rabbit, Sheep, Rat, Ox, and Tiger; neutral with Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Snake, Monkey, and Pig.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 49, line 4.
Hexagram 49 is Ge, Revolution. When change has been completed it is believed. Determined perseverance in correctness is advantageous. Regret vanishes.
Line 4 You must be in the right position before trying to carry out reforms. The zodiac sign for line 4 is Pig. By the element of the season Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram Pig signifies friends and colleagues. Pig clashes with the sign of the day and is in harmony with the sign of the month. The sequence of elements indicates that great efforts are needed to gain rewards. The Metal of Metal Pig day puts a raven in line 4. Avoid useless conflict.
