Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 7/8/17

7/8 is the day of Fire Monkey in the month of Fire Sheep. This is a harmonious combination. It favors all creative activities.
This day is designated as inauspicious and removing. The Qi of the 5 elements is trapped. This day is not good for any major undertakings.
A remove day is good for spiritual practices for getting rid of bad karma. It is also good for fengshui for space clearing, and for clearing out old, unwanted stock.
The lunar mansion is Jiao, Horn. This is a positive asterism. It promises increase in wealth.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this is a good day to make progress with your work, and travel.
Monkey, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Monkey, Rat, Dragon, Rooster, and Dog; neutral with Ox, Rabbit, Horse, and Sheep; and clashes with Pig, Tiger, and Snake.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 2, line 6.

Hexagram 2 is Kun, the Earth. The firmness of a mare is advantageous. If the superior man takes the initiative he goes astray. If he follows he finds guidance. Favorable friends are found in the southwest. Those in the northeast will be lost. Gentle persistence brings good fortune.

Line 6 Attempts to lead are dangerous. The zodiac sign of line 6 is Rooster. By the element of the season, Rooster is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Rooster signifies creative interests. Rooster is in harmony with the sign of the day and neutral with the sign of the month. The sequence of elements says it is time to act on interest. The Fire of Fire Monkey day puts a dragon in line 6. This confirms it; it is time to act. Take advantage of this day.
