Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/30/14

Because there are people in east Asia reading this blog, I have decided to post it one day in advance. Therefore this blog is for 8/30. I am skipping 8/29.

8/30 is the day of Water Rooster in the month of Water Rooster. It is a dynamic combination holding potential conflict especially for people born in the year or day of Rooster, or Rabbit.  The combination brings out the deity of Secondary Resources. Secondary Resources deity favors people who are teachers, psychic mediums, astrologers, metaphysicians, scholars, doctors, researchers, writers, designers, and all people who work behind the scenes. Water Rooster brings possibilities of growth to Rabbit; love and romance to Tiger, Dragon, Monkey, and Rat; a possibility of taking the lead to Snake, Rooster, and Ox; and increased energy to Dog, Pig, and Rat. Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, Monkey, Sheep, Pig, and Rat. Rooster challenges Rooster, Dog, Rabbit, Tiger, and Horse.
The hexagram for 8/30, using King Wen method, is number 16, line 1.

Hexagram 16 is Enthusiasm or Joy. It symbolizes something beginning to sprout. It is time to get helpers and get armies marching. Move forward. This hexagram is good in fall; we are in Chinese fall season.

Line 1 advises to avoid boasting, as that is a sign of weak will. The zodiac sign for line 1 is Sheep. Sheep is in harmony with Rooster, the sign for the day and month. The relationship encourages being productive. The Water of Water Rooster gives a tortoise to line 1. This supports the advice of avoiding boastfulness. The tortoise suggests privacy.
