Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 3/16/16

3/16 is the day of Fire Rooster in the month of Metal Rabbit. This is a discordant combination. It favors metaphysical work, research, and secret investigation. It also helps resolve difficulties and turn problematic situations around to advantage.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for taking charge of your work and moving forward.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pug, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 59, line 5.

Hexagram 59 is Huan, Dispersion. The king approaches his temple. It is time to cross the great water and to persevere.

Line 5 If you let go, and are generous, you will break through the obstacle that has been holding you back. The zodiac sign for line 5, Snake, is void, by the element of the season it is strong, and by the element of the hexagram represents those who come around you. Being void, it warns of people who are insincere, or dishonest. Snake is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The Fire of Fire Rooster day puts a tortoise in line 5. You will succeed if you keep what you know to yourself. Don't let others take unfair advantage of you. Beware of theft.
