Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 3/23/16

3/23 is the day of Wood Dragon in the month of Metal Rabbit. This is an entirely discordant combination. It has a Knife Blade Star, meaning it can bring out intolerance and violence, and it encourages competitiveness.
Dragon is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for creative work.
Dragon favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is ambivalent toward Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 57, line 6.

Hexagram 57 is Sun, the Penetrating. Success through small things. It is time to be active and to see influential people.

Line 6 warns that too much deliberating and missing the moment to act brings bad luck. The zodiac signs of line 6, Rabbit and Sheep, would be in harmony with one another, but Rabbit is void and jeopardizes Sheep. Sheep is strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, represents money. Sheep is for the most part in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1, 3, and 4, and with the sign of the day not with the sign of the month. Conditions are somewhat tricky. The Wood of Wood Dragon day puts a tortoise in line 6. It is secretive, and advises acting shrewdly. There is money to be made. Be careful with others.
