Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 5/1/17

5/1 is the day of Earth Rat in the lunar month of Wood Snake. This is a clashing combination. It favors psychic research and helping others.
This day is designated as auspicious and successful. The elemental Qi is weak but prosperous. It is best not to engage in major projects.
A success day is most positive. Everything furthers.
The lunar mansion is Bi, Net. This is a good asterism that brings harmonious outcomes and peaceful relationships. It is good for construction, land acquisition, marriage, and so on.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this day is good for love.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, use this day for making progress in your career.
Rat, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.

Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. Success. The superior man successfully carries matters through to completion.

Line 5 Modest dealings with neighbors. Everything contributes to success, even attacking with force. The zodiac sign of line 5 is Pig. By the element of the season, Pig is weak. By the element of the hexagram Pig signifies your creative and business interests. Pig is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 4, and the sign of the day, but clashes with the sign of the month. Fire is extinguished by water, caution. The Earth of Earth Rat day puts a dragon in line 5. This is auspicious, take positive advantage of the day.
