Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/5/17

9/5, the 15th day of the 7th month, is the day of, Zhongyuan, the Hungry Ghost Festival. It is a Taoist and Buddhist festival in which rituals are performed to transmute and absolve the sufferings of the dead.

This is the day of Wood Sheep in the month of Earth Monkey. A clashing combination, it favors those in politics.
This day is designated as inauspicious and closed. Sha (killing) Qi pierces to the heart of the day making it unfortunate to engage in any major project.
A close day is not good for anything of great personal or business significance.
The lunar mansion is Wei, Tail. It is good for burials.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this day is good for creative work.
Sheep, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Sheep, Pig, Rabbit, Snake, and Horse; neutral with Monkey, Rooster, Tiger, and Dragon; clashes with Dog and Ox; and is ambivalent with Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 34, line 4.

Hexagram 34 is Dazhuang, Great Power. Persistence in what is right is advantageous.

Line 4 Caution is advised. The zodiac sign for line 4 is Horse. By the element of the season, Horse is weak. By the element of the hexagram Horse signifies support. Horse is in harmony with the sign of the day, and is neutral with the sign of the month. The sequence of elements is regenerative. The Wood of Wood Sheep day puts a snake in line 4. Pay attention to details and subtleties.
