7/8 is the day of Metal Ox in the lunar month of Earth Horse. This is the 6th solar period in the Chinese calendar. It contains two fortnight periods. They are called Xiao Shu, or Lesser Heat, and Da Shu, or Greater Heat. In this period, the three Shars (killing forces) are in the southwest, west, and northwest.
