The hexagram for today, using the King Wen method, is Hexagram 52, line 6.

Hexagram 52 is The Mountain, or Stillness. The northeast is lucky, meaning it is lucky to conserve, study, and keep a boundary. This hexagram favors people born in the year, month, day, or hour of Monkey. The day of Monkey, in context of this hexagram, resolves conflict and trouble; today is, indeed, the day of Monkey. The hexagram is a guide in meditation, in that it symbolizes keeping a straight back and becoming calm and clear, not bothered by anything.

Line 6 is the height of tranquility as the result of the exercise of stillness. Line 6, whose zodiac sign in this hexagram is Tiger, while supported by the changing lines 2 and 5, is in opposition to the signs of the day and month: Monkey. This means that it is advisable to stand your ground and not engage in conflict of any kind. The Metal of this day also gives a snake to Line 6.  It advises keeping a secret.
