Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 9/6/14
9/6 is the day of Metal Dragon in the month of Water Rooster. This is a strongly harmonious combination. It favors research and creativity. It also favors social relations and independent professional activity. Dragon harmonizes with Rooster, Monkey, Rat, Sheep, Ox, Snake, and Horse, and has various degrees of discord with Dragon, Dog, Rabbit, Tiger, and Pig. The day especially favors artists born in the year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon.
The hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 5, line 4.
Hexagram 5 is Waiting, or Nourishment. The sky is filled with clouds, but it is not raining yet. If you are sincere, you will have success. Waiting for clouds to become rain means take your time while persisting. It furthers to cross the great water, in other words, to allow for change.
Line 4 advises letting nature take its course. If progress is impeded, wait. The zodiac sign of line 4 is Monkey. Monkey is partially supported by the zodiac signs of the changing lines, lines 2 and 3, and is in strong harmony with the sign for the day (Dragon), and the sign for the month (Rooster). It promises success. The Metal of Metal Dragon puts a raven in line 4 to warn not to get into an argument. If you have to wait for changes, wait patiently.
The elements of this hexagram are Earth, Metal, and Water. This is an entirely productive combination. It encourages being receptive. Trust in the natural course.
