Daily Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 4/6/15
4/6 is the day of Water Rat in the month of Earth Rabbit. This is a discordant combination. It favors those who are competitive and creatively talented.
Water Rat is a Knife Blade and Red Star combination. It can become restless, bring out intolerance and anger, and cause trouble in personal relationships.
Rat, nonetheless, is the Star of Romance for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this may be a good day to pursue a romantic interest.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is a good day to take positive steps forward in your career.
Rat is generally favorable for people born in a year, month, day, or hour of Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Ox, or Pig; neither good nor bad for people born under Tiger, Snake, Rooster, or Dog; a challenge to people born under Rabbit or Horse, and either good or bad for people born under Sheep depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 21, line 5.
Hexagram 21 is Heshi, Biting Through. Biting through brings success. It favors executing justice. This hexagram is not good in spring.
Line 5 advises following the middle way. It favors leniency. The zodiac signs of line 5, Sheep and Monkey are in a neutral, but productive relationship to one another, are partly discordant with the signs of changing line 1, partly discordant with the sign of the day, and harmonious with the sign of the month. The Water of Water Rat day puts a snake in line 5. Proceed carefully. There is gain. Be shrewd.
The elements of this hexagram are Wood, Wood, and Fire. Wood generates fire. It favors productivity.
