Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/26/16
8/26 is the day of Metal Dragon in the month of Fire Monkey. This is a clash combination. It favors courage and independence, and gives prosperity.
This day is designated as auspicious and success. It is best for all activities of lesser importance.
A success day is good for starts, getting medical treatment, and burials. It is good for many other things, but the lunar mansion this day, Gui, Ghost, is bad for such things as marriage, traveling, especially to the west, starting construction of buildings, and so on. Gui is good for burials. It is believed that if the dead are buried on an auspicious day under a favorable asterism, the future generations will flourish and prosper.
Dragon, the sign of the day, is the Star of Art for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for creative work.
Dragon favors Monkey, Rat, Rooster, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Sheep; Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is ambivalent toward Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 28, line 4.
Hexagram 28 is Daguo. Great Passage. The ridgepole sags to the breaking point. It is time for action. Success.
Line 4 The ridgepole is braced. Good luck. If you have ulterior motives, bad luck. The zodiac sign of line 4, Pig, is strong by the season element, and, by the element of the hexagram, signifies resources. Pig is neutral toward the sign of the day, and clashes with the sign of the month. Flourishing time. The Metal of Metal Dragon day puts a raven in line 4. There is some danger of arguing and fighting.
