Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/9/16
8/9 is the day of Water Pig in the month of Fire Monkey. This is a clash combination. It is potentially violent, as it contains a Knife Blade; it warns of intolerance and anger. The combination favors research and financial management.
This day is designated as inauspicious and balance. Be careful you don't make a poor deal. The day, under Surging Snake Star, is ill-starred. Evil has the upper hand. If used poorly, the qi can bring disasters, mishaps, and injuries, legal problems, and unwelcome interferences of meddlers.
A balance day is normally good for making deals, but because of the nature of this particular day, any deal must be entered with extreme caution and shrewdness.
The lunar mansion this day is Wei, the Tail. It is good for burials, and door and water alignments in fengshui.
Pig, the sign of this day, is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs, this is a good day for cleaning, making fengshui adjustments, and rearranging your home or work place.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Rat, Ox, and Tiger; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 55, line 5.
Hexagram 55 is Feng, Prosperity. Don't be sad. Be like the sun at noon.
Line 5 Blessings and fame are appearing. The zodiac signs of line 5, Monkey and Rooster, are in harmony with one another. They are strong by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, signify creative, or business interests. Monkey and Rooster are partly in harmony and clash with the signs of the day and month. There can be quick success. The Water of Water Pig day puts a snake in line 5 (this is not the same as Surging Snake Star). It advises secretiveness, on the one hand, and being aware, if dealing with others, that something is being hidden, on the other hand.
