Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/24/17
1/24 is the day of Metal Pig in the month of Metal Ox. This is a harmonious combination. It favors research and metaphysical studies.
This day is designated inauspicious and open. Yin Qi is too strong for major activities.
An open day is good for opening your home and welcoming in guests, opening a business, and signing agreements.
The lunar mansion is Wei, Tail. It is good for door alignment and water placements in fengshui. And ushers in help from noble people.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this day is busy, and good for travel.
Pig, the sign of this day, is harmonious with Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, Rat, and Ox; neutral to Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 43, line 5.
Hexagram 43 is Kui, Resoluteness. One must make the matter known truthfully in court. One must also announce it in one's own city to avert a bad reaction. Advancing is advantageous.
Line 5 In eliminating weeds, firm action is necessary. Following the middle course is blameless. The zodiac sign for line 5 is Rooster. By the element of the season Rooster is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Rooster signifies creative and business aims. Rooster is for the most part neutral to the signs of changing lines, 2, 3, 4, and 6, neutral to the sign of the day, and is harmony with the sign of the month. This is gradually productive. The Metal of Metal Pig month puts a worm in line 5. There are obstacles in the way. Yin Qi is too strong for major activities.
