Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/13/16
1/13 is the day of Metal Rat in the month of Metal Ox. A harmonious combination, it supports such careers as teaching, nursing, research, publishing, religious teacher, metaphysics, and art.
This day is designated as auspicious and closed. It is unsuitable for starting new projects.
A closed day is not good for anything of great personal or business importance.
The lunar mansion is Gui, Ghost. This is a not a good star, except for burials.. Avoid traveling to the west, or constructing a new house.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this is a good day for romantic relations.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for progress at work.
Rat, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit and Horse; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 25, line 4.
Hexagram 25 is Wuwang. Innocence. Innocence brings supreme success. It is good to persevere. If you are not as you should be, there will be bad luck, and it won't help to be active.
Line 4 Your innocence, and sincerity are being tested. Do only that which is right and just. The zodiac sign for line 4 is Horse. By the element of the season, Horse is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Horse signifies business interests. Horse is neutral with the signs of changing line, 3, and clashes with the signs of the day and month. Act, but do not oppose. The Metal of Metal Rat day puts a raven in line 4. Avoid quarreling.
