Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 1/29/17
1/29 is the day of Fire Dragon in the lunar month of Water Tiger. This is a clashing combination. It favors professions such as psychic, medium, astrologer, scholar, researcher, novelist, designer, and librarian.
This day is inauspicious and balancing. What begins well ends poorly. No Qi in the 5 elements, Sha (killing force) enters the central palace making it a bad idea to do anything major.
A balance day means that both sides are equal.
The lunar mansion is Xu, Void. This is the star of illness. It is a negative star, not good for much of anything.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this day is good for creative work.
Dragon, the sign for this day, is harmonious with Monkey, Rat, Tiger, and Rooster; neutral with Snake, Horse, Pig, and Ox; clashes with Dragon and Dog; and is ambivalent with Rabbit.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 15, line 5.
Hexagram 15 is Qian, Modesty. Modesty brings success. The superior man successfully carries matters through to completion.
Line 5 Remain quiet, or take such actions as may be appropriate, but make clear decisions with the right motives. The zodiac sign of line 5 is Pig. Pig is void, therefore not reliable. By the element of the season, Pig is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Pig signifies creative and business interests. Pig is neutral with the sign of the day and in harmony with the sign of the month. The Fire of Fire Dragon day puts a tortoise in line 5. Guard yourself, your words, and your interests. Take it easy.
