Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 8/14/17

8/14 is the day of Water Rooster in the month of Earth Monkey. This is a harmonious combination. It favors caring for others.
This day is designated as inauspicious and removing. It is an emptiness day. Also called dulled metal sword Qi, it means harm and disastrous outcomes from major works. This is not a day to start any major project.
A remove day is good for spiritual practices for removing bad karma, also fengshui for space clearing and ghost removal.
The lunar mansion is Wei, Danger. Danger of harm at sea or from water, also health problems.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this is a good day for romance.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox, this is a good day for progress at work.
Rooster, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Monkey, and Dragon; neutral with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rabbit and Rooster; and is ambivalent with Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 16, line 1.

Hexagram 16 is Yu, Joy. The people are set in motion advantageously.

Line 1 Boastfulness brings misfortune. The zodiac sign of line 1 is Sheep. By the element of the season, Sheep is becoming weak. By the element of the hexagram, Sheep signifies money. Sheep is neutral with the signs of the day and month. The sequence of elements show success now attainable. The Water of Water Rooster day puts a tortoise in line 1. Keep your affairs private. Guard against theft.
