Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/16/15

10/16 is the day of Wood Ox in the month of Fire Dog. This is a partly harmonious configuration. It favors working and making money.
Ox is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three this is a good day for creative work.
Ox generally favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; is indifferent toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 36, line 4.

Hexagram 36 is Mingyi, Darkening. In difficult times it helps to persevere. This hexagram is bad in fall.

Line 4  He penetrates the left side of the belly and getting to the heart of darkening, then leaves the courtyard by the gate. This means, by understanding the opposition, you can avoid the situation if you chose to. The zodiac signs of line 4, Ox and Horse, clash with one another. Ox is strong by the season; Horse is weak. Together, by the hexagram, they are in competition with one another, money being an issue. Ox is in harmony with the sign for the day and clashes with the sign for the month. Horse clashes with the sign for the day and is in harmony with the sign for the month. This points to possible difficulties in communication. The Wood of Wood Ox day puts a snake in line 4. Look beneath the surface; things are not necessarily as they may appear.
