Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/16/15
12/16 is the day of Fire Tiger in the month of Earth Rat. This is a harmonious combination. It is highly sociable, and favors diligence.
Tiger is the Traveling Star for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a day or year of one of these three signs this is a good day for progressing at work, and traveling.
Tiger favors Tiger, Horse, Dog, Pig, Rabbit, and Dragon; is neutral toward Sheep, Rooster, Rat, and Ox; and clashes with Snake and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day is number 4, line 4.
Hexagram 4 is Meng, Youthful Folly. I don't seek out the fool. The fool seeks me. When he asks, the oracle tells him the truth. If he asks the same thing over and over, it is bad, and I stop. It is favorable to pursue one's goals. This hexagram is difficult in winter.
Line 4 Entertaining unrealistic fantasies brings bad luck. The zodiac sign of line 4, Dog, is empty. This complicates its meanings, as it acts against itself. Dog is in a weak position by the season, but will act as if it were strong. Dog, by the hexagram represents one's creative work, or business interests, but, because it is empty, it shows others who make demands and force you to take a stand. Dog is mostly in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 2, 3, and 5, and with the signs of the day and month. It is open and inviting to others. But, the Fire of Fire Tiger day puts a tiger in line 4, which warns that not everyone has good intentions, and you need to see that in order to avoid unnecessary trouble. In dealing with others, be alert, and don't get into a fight. Also be alert to possible unexpected, untoward turns of events.
