Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/23/15
12/23 is the day of Water Rooster in the day of Earth Rat. This is a harmonious combination. It promotes prosperity and favors those who are friendly, yet independent. This is good for entrepreneurs.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day to make headway in your career.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is a good day for romantic interests.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is either good or bad with Dog depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 14, line 3.
Hexagram 14 is Dayou, Great Posession. Highest success. It is the sign of wealth, and of the sun at midday. This hexagram is good in winter.
Line 3 advises placing trust in the higher power. The zodiac signs of line 3, Dragon and Ox, are strong by the season, and, by the hexagram, represent support: education, home, nutrition, care giving, nurturing, mothering, also behind the scenes research and investigation. Dragon and Ox are in harmony with the signs of the day and month. It is all very positive. The Water of Water Rooster day, however, puts a raven in line 3. Good intentions, caring too much, can be taken badly and cause a fight. Be careful.
