Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/13/16
2/13 is the day of Wood Ox in the month of Metal Tiger. This is a harmonious combination. It favors those who are independent and competitive.
Ox is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for you to engage in creative work.
Ox favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 48, line 5.
Hexagram 48 is Jing, The Well. The town can be changed, but not the well. It neither increases nor decreases. People come and go freely. If you get down almost to the water and the jug breaks or the rope is not long enough, bad luck.
Line 5 The well has cool clear water from which everybody can drink freely. The zodiac sign of line 5, Dog, is void. It acts opposite what is expected. Dog is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram, represents money. Somebody is going to blow money. Dog is mostly in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 3, 4, and 6, which means there is a lot of encouragement to do the wrong thing. Dog attacks the sign of the day and is in harmony with the sign of the month. Nothing will stop him. The Wood of Wood Ox day puts a tiger in line 5. This also shows impulsiveness. If you are speculating, or gambling, don't press your luck. On the other hand, if you have something attractive to offer, you might get an eager customer.
