Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 2/7/16
2/7 is the last day of the lunar year of Wood Sheep. This is the day of Earth Sheep in the lunar month of Earth Ox. It is a clashing combination that can bring about unexpected changes, and that favors independence.
Sheep is the Star of Art for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for paying attention to creative projects.
Sheep favors Sheep, Pig, Rabbit, Horse, and Snake; is neutral toward Monkey, Rooster, Tiger, and Dragon; clashes with Dog and Ox; and is ambivalent toward Rat.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 18, line 3.
Hexagram 18 is Gu, Decay. It is time to cross the great water. Before you start, three days. After you start, another three days. It means be careful.
Line 3 advises against being too harsh in correcting mistakes made in the past. Be lenient. The zodiac sign of line 3, Rooster, is weak by the season, and, by the hexagram, represents the ability to stand up against challenges. Rooster is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, and with the signs of the day and month. You can hold your own. The Earth of Earth Sheep day puts a tortoise in line 3. If you are challenged, or faced with opposition, it is better not to engage or at least to keep much to yourself. Silence is best.
