Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 12/21/16
12/21 is the winter solstice, or mid winter by Chinese reckoning. It is the day of Fire Ox in the month of Metal Rat. A clash combination, it deals with issues of authority.
The day is designated as auspicious and remove. It is good for marriage, renovation, opening a business, and so on.
A remove day is good for spiritual practices for removing bad psychic influences, and house clearings in fengshui.
The lunar mansion is Zhen, Carriage. It is good for marriage, investments, but not good for travel, especially northward.
If you were born in a year or day of Snake, Rooster, or Ox. this is a good day for creative activity.
Ox, the sign of this day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram, using the King Wen method, is number 16, line 1.
Hexagram 16 is Yu, Enthusiam. It is time to obtain helpers and set armies marching.
Line 1 Enthusiasm that is expressed too much brings bad luck. The zodiac sign of line 1 is Sheep, By the element of the season, Sheep is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Sheep signifies power. Sheep is partly in harmony with the signs of changing line, 3 and 4, and clashes with the sign of the day and month. The power of the Earth is great. Regard the ancestors. The Fire of Fire Ox day puts a raven in line 1. There are those who are envious. Avoid quarrels.
