Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/17/15

11/17 is the day of Fire Rooster in the month of Fire Pig. This is a harmonious combination. It brings help, benefits by misfortune, resolves difficulties, and favors taking chances and making money especially through speculation and investments.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day to take charge and move forward with your career interests.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon this is also a good day for love.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is either good or bad with Dog depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 35, line 4.

Hexagram 35 is Jin, Progress. The noble prince is honored with large numbers of horses, and receives audiences with the king three times in one day.

Line 4 warns that if you try to make progress too quickly something bad will happen. The zodiac sign for line 4, Rooster, is strong by the season, and, by the hexagram represents those who come around you: your friends, colleagues, acquaintances, siblings. Rooster is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 5, clashes with the sign of the day, and is neutral toward the sign of the month. There is rivalry in this. The Fire of Fire Rooster day puts a tiger in line 4. There could be a fight. Beware.
