Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/23/15

11/23 is the day of Water Rabbit in the month of Fire Pig. This is a partly discordant combination. It gives the ability to benefit from taking advantage of unfortunate situations, and favors independent, even competitive actions. It warns, however, of becoming intolerant and aggressive, and causing harm.
Rabbit is the Commanding Star for Pig, Rabbit, and Sheep. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs this is a good day to take charge and move forward with professional aims.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog this is also a good day to express your love.
Rabbit favors Rabbit, Sheep, Pig, Dog, and Tiger; is neutral toward Snake, Horse, Monkey, and Ox; clashes with Rooster and Rat; and is either bad or good with Dragon depending on circumstances.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 21, line 5.

Hexagram 21 is Heshi, Biting Through. Success. It pays to punish criminals. This hexagram signifies death in winter. Bring to an end what you need to finish now.

Line 5 Despite any difficulty, be just and follow the middle course. The zodiac signs of line 5, Sheep and Dog clash with one another. There is an implied conflict. They are somewhat weak by the season, and, by the hexagram, they represent money. The concern about money brings potential conflict or worry. Sheep and Dog are for the most part in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 4 and 6, and in harmony with the signs of the day and month. So worry is mitigated. This favors making money; the desire for it is strong. The Water of Water Rabbit day puts a snake in line 5. The snake points to hidden matters and secret, possibly crooked dealings. It's risky, but potentially lucky for gamblers, free-lancers, and entrepreneurs.
