Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 11/3/16

11/3 is the day of Earth Ox in the lunar month of Earth Pig. This is a harmonious combination. It favors research and financial management.
This day is designated as inauspicious and balanced. It is bad for major activities.
A balanced day is good when both sides win.
The lunar mansion this day is Dou, the Dipper. It is good for literary success, and for fengshui alignments.
Ox, the sign for the day, is the Star of Arts for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for you for creative work.
Ox is harmonious with Ox, Rat, Pig, Snake, and Rooster; neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Monkey, and Dog; and clashes with Horse and Sheep.
The I Ching for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 42, line 3.

Hexagram 42 is Yi, Increase. It furthers to do something. It is time for crossing the great water.

Line 3 you are benefited by unfortunate events. No blame if you are sincere and walk in the middle, and report to the prince with a letter and seal. The zodiac sign for line 3 is Dragon. By the element of the season, Dragon is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Dragon signifies money. Dragon is neutral toward all the signs of changing lines 1 and 5, and with the signs of the day and month. Looming Earth with narrow obstructions needs great caution. The Earth of Earth Ox day puts a tortoise in line 3. This is a sign of secrecy and protection.
