Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/25/17

10/25 is the day of Wood Rooster in the month of Metal Dog. This is a harmonious combination.
This day is designated as fair, and closed. This is the time of transition from fall to winter (winter begins on 11/7). The day has Nine Earth Ghost Star, and is for burials. It is unsuitable for any other major activity.
A close day is bad for any activity of great personal or business significance.
The lunar mansion is Zhen, Carriage. It is not good for traveling, especially north.
Rooster, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; neutral with Pig, Rat, Tiger, Horse, and Sheep; clashes with Rabbit and Rooster; and is ambivalent with Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 25, line 4.

Hexagram 25 is Wuwang, Circumspection. Righteous perseverance furthers. If you wander off course or are diverted, you meet with misfortune, and is is not to your advantage to undertake anything.

Line 4 Persevering in rectitude. No error. The zodiac signs of line 4 are Horse and Monkey. By the element of the season, Horse is weak and Monkey is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Horse signifies creative or business interests; Monkey signifies power. Horse and Monkey are basically in harmony with the signs of changing line, 6. Horse is neutral with the sign of the day, and is harmonious with the sign of the month. Monkey is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The sequence of elements says to analyze and replan. This is not a good time to take action. The Wood of Wood Rooster day puts a snake in line 4. Examine closely.
