Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/2/17

10/2 is the day of Water Dog in the lunar month of Earth Rooster. This is a clashing combination. It favors teaching.
This day is designated as inauspicious and removing. It is not good for activities of importance, lest you want to lose money in the end.
A remove day is good for practices to remove bad karma, and fengshui practices for space clearing and ghost busting.
The lunar mansion is Xin, Heart. This is a negative asterism for all but traveling.
If you were born in a year or day of Tiger, Horse, or Dog, this day is good for creative work.
Dog, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Dog, Tiger, Horse, Rabbit, and Monkey; neutral with Pig, Rat, and Snake; clashes with Ox, Dragon, and Sheep; and is ambivalent with Rooster.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 39, line 4.

Hexagram 39 is Chien, Impediments. The southwest is good, the northeast is not. It is time to see the superior man. Perseverance brings good luck.

Line 4 Advancing leads to trouble. Returning brings union. The zodiac sign of line 4 is Monkey. By the element of the season, Monkey is strong. By the element of the hexagram, Monkey signifies one's colleagues and friends. Monkey is in harmony with the signs of changing line, 3, and with the signs of the day and month. The sequence of elements show generating forces to be very strong. The Water of Water Dog day puts an earthworm in line 4. There are hindrances and obstacles. Strive to overcome them.
