Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 10/4/17

10/4 is the day of Wood Rat in the month of Earth Rooster. This is a clashing combination. It favors people in government.
This day is designated as inauspicious and balancing. It is an emptiness day, and is not good for any major activity.
A balance day is favorable if all sides coming to an agreement are equal.
The lunar mansion is Ji, Basket. It is good for all fengshui operations.
If you were born in a year or day of Pig, Rabbit, or Sheep, this day is good for romance.
If you were born in a year or day of Monkey, Rat, or Dragon, this day is good for making progress at work.
Rat, the sign of the day, is in harmony with Rat, Dragon, Monkey, Pig, and Ox; neutral with Tiger, Snake, Rooster, and Dog; clashes with Rabbit, and Horse; and is ambivalent with Sheep.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 17, line 3.

Hexagram 17 is Sui, Following. Persist in what is correct and firm. No error.

Line 3 High goals and purposes are constructive. The zodiac sign of line 3 is Dragon. By the element of the season, Dragon is weak. By the element of the hexagram, Dragon signifies money. Dragon is neutral with the signs of changing lines, 4 and 6, and is in harmony with the signs of the day and month. The sequence of elements is disharmonious. The Wood of Wood Rat day puts an earthworm in line 3. Progress may be slow due to obstacles.
