Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/12/16
6/12 is the day of Wood Ox in the month of Wood Horse. This is a partly harmonious combination. It favors competitiveness and creativity, and encourages turning adverse conditions around to advantage.
This day is, nonetheless, designated as inauspicious. The Qi is dangerous. It is not a good day for important activites such as marriage, renovation, or moving house, as these can lead to causes and conditions resulting in losses of property or wealth, and legal issues. This day also holds danger of harm to domestic animals and livestock. There is also danger of attack by a snake or wild animal.
The unfavorable direction is south.
This day, on the other hand is good for creative work and leisure. Favorable directions are east, southeast, west, and north.
Ox, the sign of this day, is the Star of Art for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these signs, this is an especially good day for creative work.
Ox favors Ox, Snake, Rooster, Rat, and Pig; is neutral toward Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, and Monkey; and clashes with Horse, Sheep, and Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 56, line 1.
Hexagram 56 is Lu, the Traveler. Success through paying attention to details. Perseverence brings good luck.
Line 1 If you get involved in petty things, you will bring bad luck to yourself. The zodiac sign of line 1, Dragon, is weak by the element of the season, and, by the element of the hexagram signifies creative, or business interests. Dragon is partly in harmony with the signs of changing line, 4, and is neutral toward the signs of the day and month. The combination of elements points to hidden reserves, meaning later flourishing. Be patient. The Wood of Wood Ox day puts a second dragon in line 1. This is auspicious. Persevere.
