Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/8/16
6/8 is the day of Metal Rooster in the month of Wood Horse month. This is a discordant combination. It favors those who can stand up to challenges and take the lead. It also grants the ability to resolve difficulties, and gives prosperity.
This day is somewhat inauspicious and advises balancing carefully. The day is bad for legal entanglements; also dangerous for the health of the elderly and very young; and not good for big decisions. It is also not good for retreating and solitude. Unfavorable directions are east and west.
This day is good for traveling, landscaping, and fengshui. Favorable directions are northeast, north, and southwest.
Rooster, the sign for this day, is the Star of Romance for Monkey, Rat, and Dragon. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day for romantic affairs.
Rooster is the Commanding Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three, this is a good day to take command and move forward in your career.
Rooster favors Ox, Snake, Dragon, and Monkey; is neutral toward Pig, Rat, Tiger, and Sheep; clashes with Rooster and Rabbit; and is ambivalent toward Dog.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 14, line 3.
Hexagram 14 is Dayou: Great Possession. Highest success.
Line 3 does not like pretentious airs, but favors moving forward simply. The zodiac sign of line 3, Dragon, is doubled, making it extremely aggressive even though it is weak in relation to the element of the season. In relation to the element of the hexagram it signifies your resources. Dragon is in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 1, 5, and 6, and with the signs of the day and month. It's very positive, and wants action. The Metal of Metal Rooster day puts a 3rd dragon in line 3. This is a day for being positively active.
