Chinese astrological I Ching reading: 6/22/16
6/22 is the day of Wood Pig in the month of Wood Horse. This is a harmonious combination. It favors routine work and creativity.
This day is designated auspicious and good for initiating small projects rather than great things.
The day is good for renovations, commerce, new ventures, routine business, studying, taking advantage of difficulties, arts, fengshui adjustments, and travel.
The day is bad for taking physical risks, and fasting.
Pig, the sign of this day, is the Traveling Star for Snake, Rooster, and Ox. If you were born in a year or day of one of these three signs, this is a good day to make moves in your career, redesign or rearrange your home or work place, and travel.
Pig favors Rabbit, Sheep, Rat, Ox, and Tiger; is neutral toward Dragon, Horse, Rooster, and Dog; and clashes with Pig, Snake, and Monkey.
The I Ching hexagram for this day, using the King Wen method, is number 26, line 2.
Hexagram 26 is Daxu, Great Restraint. It is good to persevere. Not eating at home brings good luck. It is a good time to cross the great water.
Line 2 The axles are taken from the wagon. The zodiac signs of line 2, Tiger and Ox, are neutral toward one another, Tiger is strong by the sign of the season, but Ox is weak. By the element of the hexagram they signify power and colleagues, suggesting pressures. Tiger is in harmony with the signs of changing lines, 4 and 6, while Ox clashes with them. Tiger is in harmony with the signs of the day and month, while Ox is in harmony with the sign of the day and clashes with the sign of the month. Not everyone around you is friendly. Exercise patience. Someone could lose their temper. The Wood of Wood Pig day puts a raven in line 2. Watch out for a quarrel. Someone is irritable.
